SmarterMail uses multiple data synchronization technologies to sync mailbox data with email clients and mobile devices. SmarterMail Sync is a utility that allows you to synchronize your calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes with Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mobile devices. NOTE: Make sure SmarterMail Sync is installed prior to performing the following steps.

Follow these steps to configure Outlook for synchronization with SmarterMail using SmarterMail Sync:

1. Log in to Outlook.
2. Click SmarterMail Sync in the SmarterMail Sync toolbar.
3. Click Account Settings.
4. Click Add.
5. Enter a Display Name.
6. Enter the URL of your SmarterMail Web interface.
7. Enter your email address and password.
8. Click Next.
9. SmarterMail Sync will connect, log in, and provide a list of shared items. Click Next.
10. Select the items you wish to synchronize. By default, all folders are selected.
11. Click Next.
12. Select when SmarterMail Sync will run from the available options.  By default, SmarerMail will always run at startup.
13. Click Next.
14. Click Finish.
